Lakhisarai town is the administrative headquarters of Lakhisarai district in the Indian state of Bihar. The town has a population of 77,840 (2001 census). It is well connected by road and rail routes. The town hosts small scale industrial units, including rice mills and iron rod, sindur (vermilion), drugs and insecticide factories.
