Ponedera is a municipality Colombian north of
the country, in the department of Atlántico . With
a population of approximately 19,000 inhabitants. It borders the municipalities of Baranoa , Palmar de Varela ,
St. Thomas , Polonuevo , Salamina , Sabanalarga , Candelaria , Cross Country
and the Rio Magdalena . It is situated 40 km
from the provincial capital, Ottawa
