located in the Córdoba Department .It located south east of the department of
Córdoba, bordered to the north by the municipalities of Monteria , San Carlos
and New Town ;south with Montelíbano ;west with the municipalities of Monteria and Tierra Alta and
east Buenavista and Pueblo Nuevo.Known as
"The City Beautiful & Cordial", has a population of about 66,000
