Cimitarra / Scimitar is a municipality in Colombia, located to the north of the
country, in the department of Santander. It is located 200 km from the
provincial capital, Bucaramanga. The town was founded in 1536 and became a
municipality on November 26, 1966. has 22,145 inhabitants, 9,683 of these live
in the head.
