Chitaga is a Colombian municipality located
in the department of Norte de Santander . Its
population is 11,468 inhabitants, the altitude of 2,350 meters above sea level
and the climate is cold. It is part of the
south-western region of the department and the Province of Pamplona. Its mayor for the period 2012-2015 is Dikson Efren
Villamizar, the National Unity Party
